QuickWrite:

- Where do you see poverty in your community?
I see poverty almost everywhere - on the streets, under the bridges, vacant areas, in the corners, etc. One time that I was riding the Metro I passed by this place near Dowtown, where there was homeless people. Some of these Homeless people have tents and others only have a cart with them. There are many different races of poor people, and sometimes it isn't there fault but other times, they choose the wrong and thats the consequence.

- Think about the facts and statistics we discussed. What did you already know?
I knew about the different races that are homeless. I already knew that there are many suffering people that are poor and homeless and have no place to live, no clothes; no supplies.

- What surprised you?
I think what surprised me the most was that Latinos were the most poor.
